Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants offers $57,500 scholarships to 23 eligible Alabama students at $2,500 each. This scholarship targets students who want to be a Certified Public Accountant in Alabama.
Scholarship Requirements
Applicant must:
- be a student in Alabama
- be studying an accredited accounting major
- have a minimum of one full academic year remaining
- carry a minimum overall GPA of 3.0
- have major economic barriers
- matriculate for 12+ credits per year

The program has financially bolstered 3,000 women SACS-accredited, four-year colleges in Alabama. 20 to 25 ladies are chosen and given $4,000 annually for four years, totaling $16,000.

Cabaniss, Johnston Scholarship
The Cabaniss, Johnston scholarship was endowed in 1987 by the Cabaniss Johnston Gardner Dumas and O’Neal Law Firm and is offered by the Alabama Law Foundation to second-year law students who have shown exceptional academic performance. The sole purpose of this scholarship is to help these students make a positive impact on society. The winner receives a $5,000 scholarship, while the runner-up may be awarded a $1,000 scholarship.
